Abstract

This article examines the lithofacies and paleogeographic conditions of the formation of Lower Cretaceous deposits in Southwest Gissar, where their sediments are most clearly distinguished in the Mesozoic section. The main components of these sections are coarse-grained, sandy-siltstone, clayey, sulfate, chemogenic-organogenic, and carbonate rocks formed in continental, lagoonal, and marine environments. Correlations between various types of sedimentary minerals and dynamic facies types are established.

Key words:

Gissar, Lower Cretaceous, deposits, sedimentation, section, area, facies, paleogeography, climate, transgression, regression, minerals
